Will Ford still warranty the car with the kit on it? That’s the big question. Cool that they’re offering it though.

The 500hp Dark Horse manages the exact same hp/weight as my 455hp SS, so Id expect this to have a bit better hp/weight ratio, since its not increasing the brake size, wheels/tires, suspension hardware, drivetrain, etc. to deal with the extra power.

Yes, the GT kit has CARB approval also. The Darkhorse kit, only 49 state so far.

You can also get a Whipple on an f150 that makes 700+ HP for like $50k. Those coyotes with a Whipple are insane power wise, that was a VERY strong contender for me before einnought my X5 M50i. Unfortunately, the pricing on F150s is nuts right now, and I said "why would I pay what an actual luxury SUV costs for a nice truck?". And here we are.

Been there done that with a high hp Mustang. They sound great and can be fun to hooligan around. In the end they are dangerous because of their inability to put traction down. Combine that with limited driving skills of most and you end up with chaotic videos leaving cars & coffee.

Skill and tires matter, that's a fact.

I've owned some fast stangs, but my fastest one was a fox body built for the drag strip. I drove it on the street just fine. Never wrecked it or got into an accidents & this was decades ago in my 20s. It was a 10 second car on the bottle. My C6Z was probably faster, but never tracked it.

Too many people suck at driving & lack common sense is the problem

Like Mustang and I like good deals. Hellcat Redeye to be roughly same HP are not selling for 76k out the door, if you can find one. You could find a regular Hellcat for around the same OTD.

Bottom line though is that Hellcat is gone, and Ford is making Mustang V-8 through at least 2027. That means you can order a GT optioned the way you want it and get it supercharged with factory warranty. Not bad.

Ignore him, he's one of those dudes who will block you because his eyes are too sensitive to information that he personally doesn't agree with it, and then has the audacity to bad-mouth your opinion and preferences.

I saw the new stang in that twilight purple color and it looked good. One of my buddies does nothing but race these, so I heard about this from him since he helps with the ford racing program. I expect to see some final salutes to this line before electrification, here's hoping we get these with mag ride, cf wheels, this monster of a powerplant and enough cooling to keep it running at the track. Will be nice to see a successor to the retired ZL1 1LE

The car in stock form can barely hook up as it is. Waste of money without corresponding suspension mods. I don’t think the chassis was made for that. Kind of like the Shelby on the 2011Mustang. Anyone who drove it thought they were going to die. A Taurus would be a sleeper, a Mustang is not a sleeper. Plus wouldn’t you rather get a mild tune on the M2 and make just about as much power in a much nicer, less plasticy package?

Had a 19 Mustang GT, enjoyed it greatly. Still have my 08 Mustang, which is on its 5th reincarnation (my boat with wheels).

As far as sleeper, a lot of high-end cars will be surprised as it walks past them, if the Mustang with this supercharger kit has a driver. Thats what a sleeper does, makes the other guy go "no way!".
