Best Radar without annoying laser alerts

How are you? I was just curious I’ve tried to escort max 360 and continues to have laser alert pop-up all the time I was just curious if anyone has any other radars which do not do this let me know what’s available.

I use a Valentine One and in order for it to not have false laser alarms, I have to turn off the laser receiver in the evenings when the headlights are in use. if not, I get a false laser alarm.

I think you will find it with any radar detector that includes laser, you will need to turn the laser off; otherwise it will get it interference from the headlights.

I have so many radar detectors, last year when I got a Radenso DS1 and Uniden R4 I also updated the firmware on some older ones Radenso XP, Escort Max2, 8xxx, 9xxx, etc. The newer ones are much better as the frequencies can be updated for new car tech. They are definitely much better, but I havent payed attention that much over the past year to give any idea how much better, so many cars and don't drive that much.

I am using Uniden R7. I was getting too many false positives on K band, I switched it off, besides this everything is working fine!

the false laser alerts are from the gesture control.
if you dont use it, you can stop them by turning it off and taping over the sensor in the overhead console. i used tesa harness tape.

That was true in my 2019 X5 and I had to tape over the sensor; but in my 2023 LCI the laser is tripped by the reflection of the LED headlights back to the vehicle. I can confirm this by knowing that I don’t have this issue during the day with the laser turned on (and headlights are off). It only happens at night unless I disable the laser in the detector, so it has to be from the headlights.

That's very interesting, considering first of all, LCI does not have "laser" headlights, and second, headlight visible light has different frequency than Infrared laser radar, so it's unlikely it's from the headlights. Then again, I may be full of ....

I have a uniden r8 and laser bandwidth seems the most reliable. When I get a Ka sound I am mostly confident it is a copper

K seems to be the worst and at the same time the farthest detected bandwidth which I have to mute and deal with for a distance

I do not have my x7 yet but I do not remember getting false alarms passing a newer bmw or getting false Ka signal

When I first encountered this issue, I called Valentine and they were familiar with the issue regarding the characteristics of LCI's LED headlights. As I mentioned, this issue only occurs at night when the headlights are on--never during the daytime. Both day and night, the gesture sensor in the cabin is on so it makes sense that it's not from that.

Since I have a Valentine Gen 2, I was able to install their smart phone app and I set-up a nighttime profile so I can easily turn on and off the detector's laser sensor when appropriate. Works like a charm.

I have a escort passport 9500ci with laser detection as well as shifters. I don’t have issues with false positives. The only one I sometimes get is from the laser barcode reader in the gate to my neighborhood.

It’s also great because it learns the gos location of false alerts. Very happy with it.
