I need to see it in person and test drive to render any reasonable perspective. On the first glance, the visuals are difficult to appreciate.

All the hating on this is funny, this one is gonna sell like crazy... very aggressive and luxury at the same time

I actually really like it, especially in the white, it looks so edgy

The huge grilles that everyone seems to be complaining about look perfect on this car when seen IRL. In fact the whole front end is perfectly executed & cohesive when seen IRL...most of the pictures I've seen simply don't convey this but instead seem to make the grilles look too large/awkward/out of proportion. Also the rear end when seen IRL looks sporty in a way that is difficult to convey in pictures. |

I have a feeling that this grille is going to be the automotive styling equivalent of fake boobs. Some think they're disproportional, tacky, fake, or attention whoring....others love em

I stand by my conclusion that BMW's design language just does not work on larger vehicles.

BMW have traditionally bastardized the twin kidney grille idea already (see conjoined M2C grille)...maybe it's time to just let that whole thing go. |

I love it as well. I think it a beautiful design. My favorite is the Mineral White M Sport with the Black outer kidneys and chrome grill/fins. If mine doesn't come that way, it'll be one of the first things I do along with tinting front windows to match the back and blacking out the chrome on rear hatch. Might black out the rear view mirror covers and tint reverse light lenses. Cant wait to get the damn thing!

Yea I don't get all the hate on the giant kidney grills as well I personally think it looks bold and stylish but to each his own. A good percentage of ppl on here just like to hate on whatever new BMW comes out with.
