Comparing with a tune M4, 11.79s 1/4 mile time by the magazine doesn't sound too fast, as a stage 1 tune makes that time.

Consider that this is a EU test and most likely does not exclude the one foot roll out used in the US (1 foot roll outs are also excluded at drag strips). The one foot roll out is worth about 0.3 seconds. So you're looking at an ~11.5 ¼ mile per US standards. You also need to remove 0.3 seconds on all the times to speed to compare to US metrics. Not too shabby...

OT, but then Car & Driver's manual M4 0-60 time of 4.1s would be corrected to 4.4s if we compare it to 4.1s BMW published time!
