Your 528i weighs 3500 lbs and only has 230hp for a 0.067 hp/lb power-to-weight ratio.
The X7 weighs 5400 lbs and has 456hp for a 0.084 hp/lb power-to-weight ratio. 528i 0-60: 6.5 X7 0-60: 5.8 Apparently, tanks are faster than your sedan.

The "tank" is probably faster as it should be, but the 6000 of curb weight drags it down and not to mention is poorer drag coefficient. Depends on your vantage point, but it seems to me in the real world that 528i would match it or be just as fast in 5-60 and 40-80 sprints. Now, the real comparison would be a 550i V8 against the "Tank". I am sure the result would tilt favorably in favor of the sedan.

Saw one in person today. It's gonna be a long while until that grill looks anything less than enormous. Maybe it's competing with the new batch of full size pick-up trucks for big grill bragging rights.
