Be sure for remote view that you 1) have the same user added to the car as you are using on the app and 2) that you then go into the Data privacy option on the idrive (car settings > general settings) and tuck the box to enable remote view.
It will be disabled by default (on the car). And if you don’t have the same email address (user) on both the car and app - it won’t work. Last edited by dmann33; 10-31-2019 at 10:48 AM.. |

OK - sorry to hear about that. Do make sure that if you have more than one user in the Idrive of the car that each of them have the Data privacy setting checked as it is not a global setting, but a user specific one.

This is interesting. I never knew this and it might be why I could not get Connected for my wife, the 2nd driver working. I will take a look.

My wife's key was also coded correctly. I brought the car to the dealer and now they keep it 2 days and extended till Monday apparently there is something wrong with my iDrive. At leas now dealer admits there is something wrong |
