Mine just says I'm at the latest version. How about yours?
This is for countries outside the US. In order to get updates in the US your vehicle has to be updated by a BMW dealer. Currently, there are no OTA updates in the US nor is it possible to update iDrive via USB unless the dealer does it.

I'm still waiting for someone to start a class action law suit against BMW for stating that all their iDrive vehicles can be updated via "Over the Air" (OTA) updates. Yet this isn't possible in the US currently. False advertising at it's best!

I remember when I first picked up the car and telling my wife. The car feels so slow at highway speeds.

Checked against the GPS yesterday and I'm about 3 MPH off. I'm on the latest software as well.

So when I'm at Max on Autobahn doing 155Mph, I'm actually doing 160Mph! Nice!!!

reverse that... the speedo reads higher than you are actually traveling.

Quick Update, after driving the 1st 400 miles the speedo is now on point. Within 1 mph. No clue why.

Mine has been nearly perfect since a software update last fall.

Speaking of speed, I'm impressed how easy the 50i engine can reach 70, 80, 90 MPH and it's smooth as silk. I live in PA and there are many divided highways with 55 MPH speed limits! Traveling at 55 on any of these highways will get you run over since most everyone drives at least 10 MPH over. I just don't get PennDot's thinking. The PA Turn Pike only recently increased the max speed limit from 65 to 70 MPH. But divided highways at 55 MPH have got to go!

No kidding! I just picked up my M50i this morning on the east coast and spent the day driving west towards CO. I test drove it many times, but holy mother after 500+ miles. Impressive under all conditions; so civilized in comfort and then a bat out of hell in sport+ (and I'm not even pushing it yet until it's broken in).

Driving through PA almost gave my a brain aneurysm. 55mph was like standing still. Too many police so I kept it under control.

Update:

I just had to pick my son up from college 3 hours away due to the health situation and spent a lot of time comparing the X7 speedometer and the Waze speedometer and they match now.

The iDrive firmware update completed a few weeks ago at my first service seems to have solved the issue. 11/2019.55

When I picked up my car, I saw about a 2-3mph faster reading on the X7 compared to Waze and my Uniden R7. It seems to have changed now and is reading more accurately.
