Scott you cannot just leave it like that! That's cruel Curious to know what other luxury models are in the pipeline (Off topic I know but to balance the expansion of luxury.... with the new B series engines in the forthcoming LCI F30 are we finally going to get an M Performance model?) |

Kudos to BMW for their significant contribution to the the US and the state of SC. Kudos to the state of SC for having policy which is encouraging international investment and growth. Most important thing here is the multiplier effect.
Any time frame on this X7????

That's what I was thinking - the revival of the 840i/850i - fun. Given that today's 650i is very similar to the old 850i in architecture, an 8-series coupe would have to be uber luxurious like the RR coupe. It was positioned then as an executive car with power and performance but a tip-of-the-hat towards luxury. This car will make a statement that Mercedes isn't the only German car company that can still do luxury.

Can't wait to see the X7 and that X4 looks nice! I just wish they gave the X3/X4 more power!

Screen shots from the actual in plant presentation about the Plant Spartanburg Expansion and X7 addition...The Screen Shots tell a little story about the current Plant Spartanburg state of affairs.... Food for thought....with X7 on Next Gen 7 Series G11 Platform...Would BMW fill out Plant Spartanburg production numbers with a few USA built 7 Series....Per Dr. Reithofer Plant Spartanburg needs find 450k in annual production... At current Plant production numbers...X4 and X7 won't get them to 450k annual units... Stay tuned...Thanks. Palbay

1. BMW X8 - Not to be ruled out because of the introduction of the X7. There could yet be further additional demand for a larger Sport Activity Coupe. 2. BMW X1/X2, MINI Countryman/PACEMAN - Ruled out as North American production will be sired through a new facility in Araquari , Brazil. 3. BMW K series - new niche proposal under discussion for the 3er portfolio. Half X sport Activity Vehicle and Sport Activity Coupe. With the BMW X3 there is potential for a further model , especially for those that need extended flexibility but still crave dynamic looks like a Sport Activity Coupe. Internally known as Xsport the idea is to offer a slightly longer wheelbase incorporating extra seats but with a more dynamic roof line towards the rear and rising glasshouse to offer increased sportiness and more flexibility. Such a model is considered for the US market and those who have extra flexibility needs. If you look at how the Range Rover Sport fits with the Range Rover you can understand the same with the K series.
