Looks like the split light design from Hyundai - Sante Fe. I prefer the old one.

Agreed, but it never did apply to the X3/X5/X7 since they are built in Spartanburg, SC.

Change is hard for many of you. It will be okay. A BMW is more than a headlight design
It's not about the change, it's about the overall design language. It's becoming mainstream more and more and starting to look like everything else.

It's 9" shorter than a 7 series and only one inch wider. While it's a big car, it's not that much bigger than many luxury cars. Those may not sell well in Europe either, but it might be more of a perception issue than reality.
Car park spaces in the UK don't even allow for medium suvs. The grills are going almost Rolls Royce like proportions and make the fronts look like brick walls

Taillights are a total win on LCI- they butchered the headlights. Why not do this on the H series cars. The x7 was my contender- but I just can't love the headlights that feel like a downgrade.

This doesn't look like a long-term design, it's not original. The new Range Rover kept the design classic and sleek. BMW will be back to the classic design when the all new model lauches.

Yet another thread that’s dedicated to the polarizing looks. Nothing new here.

This LCI front design is just horrible. I have 2021 M50i and I think this is the best SUV for its money on the market.

Didn't really like the design of x7 (thus decided to buy X5).
Once the X7 LCI was revealed, I started to like the pre-LCI view of X7.

One more ugly looking (the front) car from BMW (after iX).

I love my G80, haters be damned (ive gotten nothing but people stopping me and paying compliments in real life) BUT this is actually the first time that I've seen a cohesive design come out of their new 'design language'. The new 7 is pretty close...but this is a home run.

I really like the new interior (minus the weird ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////M thing), but I just can't get around the headlights. They look so weird but at the same time... soft? cheap? they made the top row look generic and the bottom row doesn't look high tech at all.

I waited too long to order a 2020, waited through 21-22 for features to come back (wrong direction), and now with this as the only option I'm seriously considering Range Rovers and even (barf) Lincolns that I never would have considered before. I would just go for a used loaded '20 if the used market wasn't so insane.

Depends. Performance and aesthetics/fit and finish, it's up there for sure. But with the third row up, that trunk space is abysmal. I know it's not a minivan, but if they're marketing this as a 3 row SUV, that trunk should have been more practical.

If trunk space is a must, then for the money the Escalade takes the edge. Not a bimmer and the driving dynamics are completely different, but way more practical.

I have a 2015 X3 with headlights going in the front grill so didn’t want another bigger car looking like that. The new version looks way better in person. Older version already looks outdated!
