Guys, I know the topic of tire size and square v. staggered setup has been discussed. So that is not my issue. I have decided to go square 285/45R22 whenever it's time to change all four. Pictures attached for reference.

My issue is that i think only one of the rear passenger tire needs to be changed. I need recommendations as to what option is best:

1: change all four tires with the square set up. If I go with this option, any recommendations on what brands are good for all season tires?

2: just change the rear passenger tire.
In this case should I go with the original POS tire?

3: change both rear tires with the 285/45 square set up?

4: any other options you would recommend that I haven't thought about?

Thanks!

i would probably just replace all four. you're near the wearbars on all of the tires. the drivers rear looks like its about to start showing cords too. and get the alignment checked, the pass rear looks like theres some feathering happening.

i wouldnt replace just the rears, 285/45-22 is taller than stock and you'll have transfer case wear between the worn fronts and new taller rears.

i know you have decided on a square setup, but another option would be the conti dws06 plus in staggered. 275/40-22 and 315/35-22. treadwear of 560

If you are looking into the dws06 plus, youll need to look up the front and rears seperately. They will not show up as a matched set since they dont have the same speed rating front and rear. Its W and Y, which is fine since both exceed the top speed of the x7 (155) vs 168(W) and 186(Y). Tire rack confirmed no issue pairing them.
