Arrow I need help deciding!!!

ok. I've ordered my car, and I'm just waiting for the sale of my car to go through before I spec it, but i'm sure BMW will phone me in a week or two and I need help.

I can't decide on a colour.
Saphire Black or Sparkling Graphite
and interior
Lemon or Terra

Please vote in my pole and comment on the colours, how dirty they get, which is best looking etc... ;-)

Saphire Black with lemon interior will look the business! A dark exterior contrasting with a light interior. Classy or what?

That's my choice in your poll.

SG with lemon would be cool too. I'm not too keen on the terra.

hey Juan23, I've ordered a 325 from midrand(september delivery), but i think i'm gonna have to cancell it. I want a 320d now for economic reasons(and i can get June/July delivery) but I am only going to order it when i sell my 325ti (2003,white,grey leather) I drove a 320d and that torque is amazing. Most likely get black with lemon at this stage...but we'll see. Did you goto the launch at the venue?

Nice choice!! Can't wait to see your pics! These are the only ones black/lemon pics I've seen so far from the Official Interior thread here. That's awesome!

I agree that black/lemon looks terrific. The contrast really accentuates the interior. Here's some more pics of this combination which looks great from the outside too:

oh man that looks good. I ordered the 158 style wheels. The dealer tried to get me to splurge for the sports pack with 18" but it would just push the car out of budget.
i did however order comfort access....nothing more "wow" to the women than a car without keys! Still need to finalise the sale of my e46 325 *sigh* i can't wait !!!

Iīve seen practically every possible combination BMW has built so far (yeah Iīve been spending ALL of my spare time on dealers lots lately), trying to decide for my car.

Today I finally saw black / terra / burl

Bingo!!!

Itīs by far the most beautiful combination (well to my eye).

Itīs elegant without being boring. Itīs not to uneasy on the eye (as the three-tone-versions such as black/terrea/aluminium or anything with lemon (since no trim fits) are).

Itīs perfect. And rare. And beautifull.

I know what Iīm getting.

Oh and by the way:
If you havenīt seen it IRL in sunlight, be carefull about lemon. It look just that - lemony. If you like it, youīll love it. If you donīt youīll dislike it severely.

Oh and another by the way:
NEVER look at pictures of terra, I havenīt seen any picture of terra so far (wether with flash or without, sunlight or artificial) that has even the faintest resemblance to the real thing. Itīs so rich and brown and not orange despite having some red overtones, you canīt describe it, you canīt take pictures of it, you have to see it.
And burl compliments it perfectly by picking up the colour in a darker and glossy shade.

Shame you poor people. Like there isn't enough choice on other things :/ go put some lemon scented toilet paper in your car, and think of us with only 1 kind of toilet paper. hehe
Aside from that, I heard somewhere that Bi-xenons are against town law in santa barbara? Something about the old people complaining?

I hope you are kidding about the Xenons. Could be true though there are alot of really stupid Santa Barbara County ordinances. We have Michael Jackson but we cant get Lemon.

I've seen the beige leather at the official presentation here at a dealer in Munich. So the cars were brand new - and the leather was dirty after a short period of time!!!

So keep in mind that you have to pamper your baby once a month or so... ;-)

The dealer promised to give me a bottle of BMW leather cleaner, she said once a week if I clean it - it'll be fine. Shouldn't be a problem seeing I'm gonna be the only one in the car most of the time. Wish my luck anyways...not that the car is one it's way yet...but...

well they reckon metallic black helps the resale value of the car more then any other colour.

definately go for lemon though, i have it and it looks great. I was thinking about the Terra until i saw a real pic of it and i dont like it (sorry).

one problem with lemon will be that it will be hard to keep clean

There are no real pics of Terra. Itīs like a ghost, it canīt be banned to a pic. It looks completely different than on any picture.

Never decide upon terra (pro or con) without having seen it IRL.

i think the fact that no one seems to have specified it suggests its not very nice. the reason i went for lemon rather then grey or beige is that the dash and door trims are in black so it gives a nice contrast.
