The G wagon has achieved cult status, X7 isnt what the G wagon has achieved. In 10 years time, the G wagon would still be relevant, the x7 would have evolved in terms of design and technology to another state. While the g wagon would still look almost as it is now as it has shown in past history. The ruggedness and military influenced design is just timeless.

Except that the current IFS variant G-Class doesn't have the same military influence anymore does it? It's still nice but it's become more of a road car and by those standards it will start to show weaknesses when put against a proper road car with full front and rear independent suspension.

Someone in my area recently bought a G Wagen. I'm not sure I had ever seen them frequently enough before to have an opinion, but in all white, it is NOT a looker. Just my opinion.
