It might be the cause, update your DME and see how it goes. Take it to someone with knowledge on that as I have no idea how to use E-SYS and updating through ISTA is kind of complicated and needs ICOM.

I really hope this solves it.

Not yet, i'm looking for a guy who know. I saw bmw but they don't wanna take the car cause they can't upgrade only the dme, they have to do all the car and it's a big risk for me. So always the same for me.

Did you change your spark plugs by any chance before all this started? if yes did you use OEM? because some spark plugs comes without a resistor and might interfere with the sensors signal in the car specially the camshaft.

I am just guessing.

Hi, no i didn't replaced the spark plugs but maybe it's cause the cas4, since i have this m5, i have to start the car with the key side to the column. When i bought the car, i thinked it's was the key battery but i changed it and it was the same. So i think it's could be the cas4 cause it's not the original key and i have only one. Now i'm looking for someone for see what's going on whith this modul. What you think about that?

I agree there is a possibility. Maybe some sort of aftermarket anti theft device is installed somewhere causing that!

Yes, i'm gonna see a guy thuesday. I hope it's will be good. He told me that he can make me a new key and put all Keys lost in the modul.

Hi, now i have a new key and she's working good , i can start the car with the key in my pocket but still have drivetrain malfunction. One question, i did a diagnostic and i have 2 fault codes for handle Doors driver side, i don't know where i saw that it's could be this but if anybody can turn on the Light for me lol.

But now you can see the same fault code in this post.

If you have BM3 maybe try and switch off these codes by one and see if things work smoothly. so you know exactly what to do

5 or 6 fault codes are the same.
164042 is 130104. I have the door handle too.

Hi, no i don't have bm3, i receveid the handle door but nothing changed. I don't understand, i'm lost, really. When i delete the fault code i have the power 1 minute and after that drivetrain malfunction. Maybe i have to do camshaft pulley but it's vers strange cause the rpm car is very good.

Were you able to fix this? I have a vanos issue on my M6 too. I have the code 133B04 and entire bank 1 has shut off.

Hi evereybody, 1 year and always the same problem, i replaced the camshaft pulley, injectors, sparkplug, fuel hp, always 130104, 120908 . Anyone have an idea?
