I have tried it once. It curbed my wheel. Don't recommend using it unless you don't mind your wheel all scratched up.

I would cringe as my wheels approached a curb.

I have used it a couple times when the car was new for parallel parking. Both times were great. It got the car right around 6 inches from the curb. I would use it more but sometimes the car wouldn't detect the spot, other people are behind you, so in the end, it is quicker to do it yourself.

I feel the same. I had it on a mercedes back in 2015. The parking itself was perfect but getting it to initiate was a royal PITA. On this car, having to hold the P button the whole time, as far as I'm concerned, is needless and for one reason or another adds yet another level of anxiety. I did a test with the bmw genius, and although she yelled at me nicely to just let it do its thing, it's a little too nerve wracking. This was into a parking spot, not parallel.

I've used it several times and it works great. Just don't like that I have to hold the button the whole time. I find it useful in more congested cities where parking spaces are tighter like here in DC. If you got plenty of room or live in an area where parking is more available then doing it yourself is quicker.

I have a hard enough time leaving my car in a standard parking spot let alone a tight parallel spot.
The tech does intrigue me and I would certainly use it on a car other than my baby. |
