I think that just defaults to whatever dealership you have been looking at or whichever one is closest to you. I never tried to do a deal with anyone outside of the Texas/Louisiana area.

Quick question for those that applied for BMW FS credit online prior to going to a dealer, how did that work out? Specifically, the BMW FS online credit app will use the MSRP numbers of whatever you built online. But the final purchase price will be different (higher or lower) depending on changing options and/or your final negotiated price with the dealer. How is that $$ delta handled wrt your online approved financed limit?

I know dealers prefer for you to apply for/initiate financing with them, even BMW FS financing, as they have the opportunity to make more profit. But I prefer to come to the dealer with pre-approved financing, and right now BMW FS seems like the best option for me. I have used pre-approved financing before with other car purchases. But I wanted more clarification on how the process works with applying for credit specifically with BMW FS online in case there are any subtle differences in the process.

I only applied through the dealer and the application always included the full MSRP. I am not sure it really matters and you probably want to get approved for the higher amount. You won’t need it but gives you flexibility if you decide to buy a more expensive car.

To clarify, I typically lock in BMW lease programs and then wait for the car to built. I receive approval at the time of the lock and then finalize things with a dealer 2 months later when the car is ready.

I know I've mentioned it before but just looking to make a move since x5 is almost up .

Found a low msrp 2019 40i msport new . Currently advertised at 12 percent off . Looking to knock off another 2k + add my loyalty to get to 16 percent off. Problem is I'd have to ship it 500 miles and would only do it with base MF. My wife is not keen on the color but for a deal she'd do it.

Is this doable?

One dealership is looking to unload their last one or two x50 2019 at 19 percent off. But that includes the 50i heavy lease cash and of course loyalty. I might bite on the 50i x line but gas mileage doesn't seem that great.

Any input?
Thanks !

If you are in the Southeast region, I got a SA to recommend. He is super easy to work with, and tremendous service. PM me if you are looking for a SA in this region.

I just got a similar deal on a 2020 x7 x40i. 12% off, MSRP, +$1500, +loyalty, +corporate discount (Apple employee), came out to $15k off of $86k msrp.

Granted it's SF Bay area where there's lots of competition, but it was pretty much the exact car I wanted, minimal extra dealer add-ons (only running boards).

Did you take one off the lot or did you order a vehicle?

I could only get about 9.5% off an ordered car including corporate discount & loyalty. so $8400 off a $88k ordered vehicle.

Several SF Bay area dealer offered $12-$15k off but only on vehicles sitting on their lots.

Holy Toledo, that might be the best deal anybody has reported here in the forum yet! Good on ya.

I can see that being for a car already on the lot. I'm thinking right now, dealers are willing to give extra deals, due to the Coronavirus, and how it has affected the economy in general. BMW has admitted that the Coronavirus has started to affect its sales.

Me, I lost $10k of stock value last week, just from my X7 fund that I've been saving up. Grrrrr.... It's bounced back only a little. My various other savings and retirement funds took a beating too.

Right now may be the best time yet to buy an X7.

I was told that I could no longer pair loyalty & corporate discount any more...Still got a decent deal, just not that great. This was in the NYC area....

Is this a good deal?

Thinking about leasing a car for my wife and it would be my first time...can I get some opinions on this deal.

I feel like I should be able to get more off because it's a demo but this seems to be the lowest they can go...

I think you can get way better than this deal
Specially at this point of time and the car being a demo.

In my opinion your monthly payment should be around $900 all in

I negotiated a slightly lower monthly payment on a $96K custom order with similar lease terms (12/36 with only first payment down and everything else rolled into the lease)

I'd want to be at no more than $1000 per month if that car was brand new. Not sure how to further discount that monthly payment for a used car with 4800 miles, but would want at least another $100 per month off that, so $900 or better.

Thanks Heimdall and LowerEast for the insight. I'll see if I can negotiate some more with them or look for another deal.

I'd like to stay less then $1000 per month, $900 would be great.

Thanks again.

Definitely should be able to do a lot better. PM me if you need a good contact at a dealership that can ship to Texas.

Obviously very very few people are going to purchase outright an X7 right now as a lot of opportunities in the stock market. You would think they will be dealing big time.

I posted this on the X5 forum but i thought this could be helpfull here too!....my 540 and my wife's range rover lease were both up at the end of the month so i decided to call my previous CA to see what my new lease options would be for me and possibly an x7 for the old ball and chain....he actually told me and i quote "due to the recent crisis, the demand has gone up for these vehicles and i could now only offer you our invoice price (6%) for both vehicles"...shocked because i have been a long time loyal customer to this dealer and have always got better deals, i decided to come on here and see if this was true...i came across a few members here who had purchased X5's from one CA at a dealer in NJ, which is only about an hour away from me.......i proceeded to get in contact with him, which did take about a day or 2 but once i got him on the phone he was great! he offered me 10% off MSRP plus any rebates i qualified for as long as it was "instock" right off the bat, probably could have got more but it felt like it was a fair deal....then i mentioned my wife liked the X7 and he was able to get me an extra .5% if i bought 2 cars...so i did! i thought this would be help full for anyone who wanted to get a bmw and got the same first answer i did.....feel free to direct message me if you want his info!
