LOL, so true! But I applaud BMW for having this feature to let us track the vehicles at least. Other brands, you would need to call your dealer sales numerous to get some vague status update

West Coast M50i order update...

My X7 apparently went by train to the Union Pacific yard in Mira Loma, CA. They are using the carrier Deluxe to bring to VDC at Oxnard. I was told they are hoping it arrives at VDC today and didn't get any additional ETA beyond that. Local dealer said realistically 1-2 weeks. Broad estimate IMHO.

The person I spoke to before gave me wrong information.

He claimed production would start 5th of January which is wrong. It's the 5th week of January.

Wow, this is pretty late. I doubt it will arrive in time 'til 02/15 so they need to give me a loaner....

I was actually lucky that my dealer had a fully loaded Tanzanite Blue with extended Ivory white leather in stock so I grabbed it right when it came in. The only option it had that I wouldn’t have ordered is the night vision but it had trailer hitch, dynamic handling package and everything else and it would have taken 3+ months if I had ordered that way

760, I ordered almost the exact same car as you did at the end of December. It sounds like it will be very close to the end of February or early March when the car is ready. The lease program is locked in through March 2 so I need to pick up the car by then.

I ordered Tanzanite Blue w/ Merino extended coffee on 12/31 and genius hotline says 1/18 completion. Dealer told me the order will take about one month so this seems aligned. He did say they had a close allocation spot. NJ destination.

The guys on the Edmunds lease-forum are claiming that for my area, there is currently a $3,000 lease incentive for the X7 M50i.

If that's the case, I will probably lock in my rate by the end of the month as well.

I ordered my vehicle in the beginning of December so I hope it will be at the dealer not much later than mid February.

One thing that might help is that Tampa isn't too far away from Spartanburg so I don't have to wait too long AFTER it's built..

I got every option. The only odd part was that I let my son pick the color and he choose Ametrin (just call it red). I've yet to see one in person and I doubt I'll like it but I sit inside so it's not that big of a deal.

I will check re the lease incentive. Re the lock, I locked mine in December to take advantage of the MF and the residuals. I think I can still benefit from the increased lease incentives after the lock.

I am doing a PCD. If you are close to Spartanburg and have time, I highly recommend it. I have done it three times and it also takes care of the break-in.

My wife's M50i with Individual Ivory White/Night Blue interior is now in Quality Check stage (8th dot).

Car was ordered on Nov. 23, entered into production on January 3, Quality check on January 14.
