Today I called BMW customer care and they said they could do nothing for me and I need to contact my local parts department. 100k vehicle manufactured in the US daily with replacement parts that are unavailable. If I would of known this would happen I would have bought a different brand. They don’t even care enough to help get my part sooner. Thanks for buying our vehicle and good luck getting parts. Very disappointed to say the least.
We had a trim piece fall of the bottom of the 2nd row the day we picked it up and a window trim piece go bad. Both took a couple months to get. Must be a sign they are barely keeping up with production.

Out of curiosity, what is the piece you're waiting for?

Something similar happened with my current x6M two years ago. I was waiting for a part to come from Germany for almost two months. I called BMW NA to complain and they reimbursed me for two months of lease payments. It’s worth calling to see what they can do for you. Good luck!

Which interior trim piece was damaged? Was damaged when you took delivery?
