I know this has been addressed previously and the word was that BMW switched from Pirellis to Bridgestones with the 740m wheel (M Sport Package 20").
That said, there are multiple cars on my dealer's lot with both tires including two X5 40is, both manufactured in February 2020.....one has Pirellis and one has Bridgestones. The one with Pirellis has the M sport brakes, but I've never heard of that impacting tire selection. Does anyone have anymore insight into what determines the tire used? Thanks! BMW uses JIT production. It's whatever wheel/tire combo that's provided to the wheel station on the production line. There may be a batch of Pirelli's and then Bridgestone's but there's no logic as to which tire you get.
Interestingly my G05 optioned with M Sport brakes and 740M came with Pirelli's. LOL

Two virtually identical 40is - M Sport, 740M, loaded, 2020, almost the same production time, one with Contis, one with Bridgestone.
