iDrive Next Maintenance schedule
When I did my 2k first maintenance I vaguely remember that the cluster displayed the km till next service of 14000km, and mysteriously dropped by 3k to 11k few weeks after (of course having driven for like 500km). Now at roughly 5k I was curious, so I checked the "iDrive ->Vehicle Info-> Vehicle Status -> Service Required" and it still displays 11k and the date of 07/16 which seems not to decrement. see pic. I expected that the distance till next service will decrement in realtime or even faster but not paused in time! Also surprising that I'd displays 80k for next brake change ...
My car is a Canadian spec, and I don't have the history entry nor the "vehicle inspection" entry mentioned in my manual. |

it will increment and decrement because it is a condition based system. It will probably check every so often and increment or decrement accordingly. One of the factors is your fuel consumption. also, although the brakes say 80k, there are sensors that will warn you when the pads get low.

Coincidently after I posted, it did decrement to 10k km. I thought it depended more on oil consumption than fuel consumption.
