I would do it but I heard that one of the chrome pieces can't be used after it is removed.

are you talking about for interior or exterior? If you have the black exterior trim I will trade you today for my chrome trim. Let me know.

Don't. Black is so much better. Most people would like to de-chrome so that it looks more like the M-sport
