X7 Wheels

Just interested in how everyone who is ordering (or planning to order) is thinking about the wheel options. I am really torn on which ones to go with.

Personally I like the standard 21 inch wheels. I feel 21 inch gives more of a luxury vibe while the 22 inch look more "gangsta", though theres nothing wrong with that

21 v spoke. I like the 22’s but this car will get driven a ton and over some crappy roads so I was nervous about the super low profile of the 22’s rubber.

You can probably test out a new M Sport X5 with 22" equipped with air suspension to get a close idea of the comfort of a similar X7

Wish they offered non run flat in the 22" options, Would be my number one choice. When the 20's on my F15 needed replacing I switched to non run flat tires and it made huge difference in ride quality.

What color exterior did you get? Does that mean no M package?

Sounds amazing! I am going back and forth on alpine vs mineral white. Have you used a display key before? Pretty cool?

I've seen the display key on a Youtube video (I think Doug Demuro IIRC) and it looked super cool.

Thanks! Looks good. Strange to me that all the 22 inch wheels are on summer tires. I guess that makes sense but all seasons would have been nice for my wife.

Agreed. I still put winters on our F15 but the all season non run flats are cheaper, handle the same, are more comfortable, and last longer. They also give that extra safety in the shoulder seasons in Canada where you still get the occasional blast of cold or snow. I've been caught flat footed with summers on and it's a disaster even with AWD, while the all-seasons perform 90% as well in winter. I think performance tires on a 7 passenger SUV is just a ridiculous concept - my old X6 50i maybe, but these are just family haulers.

Right now the Canadian configurator only has 22" RF performance tires (which I like the style of) and 20" all-season NRF (which I don't). I like the 21" all season option - hopefully they bring it here soon as I think that's the sweet spot between styling/sidewall height/maintenance cost/comfort/etc.

I decided to go with the 754M 21 inch wheels on all season tires. These are standard with the M package in the US. I think they are the best compromise for me.

Yes my bad those are the 21's available in Canada as well. I was looking on the .de configurator and there's a few more wheel options I hope make it our way. I'm just not a huge fan of the M-sport look on this big of a car. They probably look amazing in person though.

Just placed my order with the 755M wheels, but the 758i are so beautiful as well. Which wheel do you think is best?? I have about 2 weeks to make changes if needed...

I'm loving the necrobumps today haha

I think had I gotten 755m's on mine I wouldn't have bought my hf3's. As such, I now have a set of 758i's sitting in my garage needing to be sold. They'll be listed whenever my back stops having sh*t fits.

The m sport vs lux talk, the 755m vs 758i talk, I fall on the more aggressive side of the spectrum, hence:

I think if you're looking at the chrome or cerium trim, the 758i's are just about perfect. If, like me, you wanted the extended shadowline trim, you'll get eye-twitchy, like I did, and want something a bit more aggressive. This barge is so large that it needs a bit of edge for me.
