Rear passenger window sunshades

Hi all,

I got an excellent deal on a 2019 X7 but didn't realize it was missing the package with the rear window roll up sunshades.

Is there an aftermarket or bmw part that I can use as a sunshade for the second row? Ideally would like to lower the windows with the shade in place as in the factory option.

The premium pack is a must in my opinion.

I doubt it's retrofit possible. You would need to replace the interior door paneling as it's designed for the shade to go down inside, but is a separate opening than the glass. All of the electrical, motors, etc would need to be added.

Sounds pricey.

A retrofit isn't possible, you're likely going to have to go after market sitck-on roller shades which use suction cups.

They usually make custom window shades that have clips and snap on to frame. Much better than suction cups in my opinion. Unfortunately, I don't think the sizing for x7 is out yet. Hopefully soon. I'm waiting for it as well since I like to add them to the rear window and 3rd row window.

I believe you can go as dark as you want on the rear windows for SUVs. What I did on my old x5 was added another layer of Tint 35% on top of the factory tinted windows
