I thought I listed it already - Annapolis and Arlington BMW offered $13K OFF new with MSRP ~$85K. I ended up buying from Crown BMW - CPO for $19.5K off MSRP $83K.

Sorry - Alexandria, not Arlington. Both in NoVA

For the new cars - were they off existing vehicles on the lot or newbuilds that are ordered? Thanks.

Existing inventory. Both had nearly 30 vehicles. I emailed 10 dealers - Annapolis and Alexandria were the two that started dealing with me over email. I used their deal to revisit Crown who initially dug in at ~$15K OFF on the CPO. The additional $3,500 OFF appears to be something recent according to Crown.

Thanks cvp33 - makes sense. Can usually get the best deals on existing inventory from what I understand. For others' reference, my data points for the newbuild were for custom orders for factory newbuild - I searched entire US inventory and nothing close enough to exactly what I wanted, so I'm paying a slight premium to customize the selection.

I'm getting the impression it's realistic to do 15-20% off MSRP, before BMW rebates, for in-stock vehicles.

One challenge for me is, if I were to try to take advantage of current deals, the border is staying closed between US and Canada, for any idea of driving back to Alaska. (I don't like any of the vehicles BMW of Anchorage has in stock)

Hi wild blue I wish that were the case, but I contacted
30 dealers in 9 states. I personally don't think youll get that. No one comes close on a 2020.
Not even close and I said I'll sign right now and I just walk.
I was offered 15 percent on a leftover 2019 but that's what it's
Advertised at and it's far away, not a good spec for me, offered 17 and they won't go more than 15.

Loaners, yes I've seen 15-17 percent off .

I agree. I think that deal is possible for loaners and demos, but I don't see any dealerships doing that kind of % off PLUS incentives for brand new 2020 vehicles with < 20 miles on the odometer, even if it's sitting on the lot. Inventory has dried up due to the US factory shutting down for a month.

I was able to get ~24% OFF MSRP on a CPO dealer loaner. I did email 10 dealers in 3 states. Annapolis and Alexandria both offered $13K off NEW vehicles after a few rounds of emails.

BMW of Annapolis currently has 30 X7’s in inventory. Here’s a screen shot of an $86K MSRP with an $11,100 discount before negotiations. Anyone with negotiating skills and patience can get this to $13K.......I did. That would be 15% OFF, not 20% though. Agree that end of the month should be a good time to strike a deal.

That would be great. Unfortunately, I think COVID is messing everything up, top to bottom. I wouldn't be surprised if BMW is reevaluating all plans for 2021's, to include option packages, and pricing structure. And I think that the plant shutdown is going to turn logistic supplies upside down for a while. So... who knows.

There's two sides to all economics. So, dealers and anyone else that are saying "the plant was shut down... supply has been lower", isn't looking at whether public demand for the X7 has remained the same, or is also lower, with the depressed economy.

No argument that the plant shutdown has lowered supply. I think it remains to be seen what's happening with demand, but BMW is reporting HUGE drops in sales. So indications are that demand has dropped more than supply. I looked at 40+ dealer websites over the last few days, and it's very common to see 25+ X7's just sitting on larger dealers' lots.

Another Great pricing offer by BMW Of Spokane

I spoke to Richard Reynolds, and he is offering 14-15% off MSRP on X7 M50. Couldnt close the deal since it didnt have the extended shadow trim.

If all of the other $$ numbers and options on the X7 look good, you can just buy the extended shadowline parts parts later and install them. The grill and rear trim strip are ridiculously easy to install (I did both of them myself). The exhaust tips require more work and are not as DIY friendly, but not too expensive to have a shop or even a dealer install (I have not purchased or installed the tips yet). Purchasing the extended shadowline parts after the fact is obviously more expensive than "ticking" the option on a build. But in the long run, if the overall deal is good, it is not that much more of an expense if that is the only thing that is holding you up on the deal. Hell, depending on how much the dealer wants to sell the M50, you could negotiate a discounted rate on the parts and the labor to install them (I did that on a previous BMW purchase).

My X7 had all of my "must have" options and most of my "want" options - it was missing the extended shadowline trim (which was a "want"). However, the overall deal made purchasing the extended shadowline parts later an acceptable option (especially since you can get the parts for good prices from multiple online BMW vendors).

Edit: I just remembered that the M50's also come with the cerrum grey "hockey stick" side trim pieces (and some others) so swapping those out for the black ones significantly increases a post purchase cost of an extended shadowline trim upgrade compared to a 40i w/M Sport package.....

I'm hoping next week we will see the next build/pricing guide for 2021. It should if it follows last years way of doing things.
