Really prefer the old turbo wheels and the current GT3 wheels over both of these.

And can someone enlighten me on why column mounted > wheel mounted?

awsomeness all over again

LED's DRLs are ugly tho, they look like shiny plastic when they're off :s totally don't fit the car. Also the navigation on porsches is always placed so low ? I saw it in a Cayenne aswell, you have to fully tilt your head down to even have your eyes reach that far down

Either way, car is stunning. However, a GT3 would be in my garage.
No one knows for certain whether the GT1 block will be more durable. The new engine is an integrated dry sump rather than a tradtional dry sump. There is no doubt that the MK1 is very, very durable even when tuned to 700 HP, but, technology evolves and the MK1 has been around for a while now.

Well it's FI and 4WD. Without talking about the price, the 458 Italia is far better in design and specs, 570 hp NA and RWD. And there is no use to take a 911 Turbo for daily-drive, the R8 V10 is better (not in performance). If you want a sure daily-drive car, a 335xi is enough. The 911 really gets boring, it allways looks the same, it is even worse than Audi with their similar cars (exept TT and R8). I do not like 911. Well its what I think. Only + for Porsche is maintenance, there are dealers in every town, compered to Ferrari.

+2

I love 997 turbo's rims. But these rims on the 997.5 turbo are kind of weak.
I can't blame on changing those rims as they were being optioned on cayman/carerra's. Porsche had to go with some unique wheels for the 911 turbo but I guess they aren't the 'eye candy'.

Overall, I hope this car is quick in straight and curve's with it's new engine and differential. I dunno why but I just love this car even with it's ugly shoes.

Thanks.

I chose the standard sport seat, however, I am having Porsche paint the seat backs painted to match the exterior. I did not choose the very, very cool carbon buckets. The buckets do not have any height adjustment, bottom tilt or rake to the seat back. And, they're $3k+, not that that would have stopped me, ha. They go forward and backward, that's it. I was a bit concerned about comfort.

Congrats! Black wheels? I am still undecided as the Ti standards wheels look pretty great too.

Thanks.

That is why I asked. They look very snug, which I like, but any seat time above an hour and some twitching around to get comfortable would probably be in order.

I just got back from smearing my face all over the glass looking in at the black one down the road.

The factory black for the wheels is usually very high gloss I think. Not on this car IMO. The thought I had was go with OEM for a bit then take them to a quality shop and get an eggshell black. Not matte but just a hint of gloss. Leave a small trim line of the OEM finish on the outer. Not much room after the spoke but a little.

After markets are popping up but I really like these and to get them much lighter is going to cost some pesos.

Congrats to you both!

Good idea on the wheels. You are right, aftermarket wheels are/will be popping up quickly.

Are you getting one?

Oh, I want one. I need some larger deals to hit else give up some comforts I fancy as being single.

I will just keep drooling and work towards one. Silver/white/basalt black in order of my choice in color.

Could get one next month or next year. It's really up to my clients.

Again, you have a winner coming!

I feel the 3.8 GT3 is long term keeper not that most P's aren't.

The problem, to me, with black is it will hide alot of the lines. Especially the awesome tushy. I have been reading of the up and down head motion needed to see the car behind you. I look forward to working my neck muscles out!

Oh yeah, love that ass!

My first two choices were/are GT Silver and White. White is free and GT is $3k, which made the choice a bit easier. GT really pops with a creamy poured on look.

I wouldn't worry too much about that many cars behind you, haha. I wish you the best with your clients and you getting one. I also believe that this might be one of the very few late model desirable Porsches in the years to come.

May I ask what you do?
