Change Map Style (Colours, background etc)

Is there any way to change the actual colour scheme on the maps in the 2008 series navigation system.
I find that the default choice of colours makes the map hard to read.
My last car (G35) had two settings, one for daytime and one for night.

Cannot be done to my best knowledge.

It would be cool. I wish it were more customizable, like the Garmin units.

FWIW, it is automatically dimmer at night so it doesn't distract you while you drive.

as well as the TL, the car has a different background for day time and night time.
