JB3 + BMS Flash?

I know I should be upgrading to JB4, but I'm really done doing anything additional to my car. Willing to try out the flash though since its free and I have a BT scanner. Does anyone know if I can still do the BMS reflash if I have the JB3?

Ask directly bms but i suggest u upgrade it first or try the flash on its own.

The flash on its own wouldn't yield extra hp or anything correct? Meaning there wouldn't be more power.

No it wouldn't yield extra power alone. It is to be used in conjunction with the jb4. The flash is mainly used to control timing/fuel where the jb4 controls boost. I'm pretty sure it's recommended to upgrade to the G5 to use the backend flash but I suggest you contact BMS for a more definitive answer.

Yea talk to Terry. But just upgrade man…JB3 is a boost algorithm. We’ve come a long way since then on both the flash and piggyback tuning side of things. You're missing out.

Thanks. Yea I really should upgrade... I just dont plan on doing much with the car anymore and given that I only have a tune/dci, I'm not sure how much more a JB4 can do for me. I don't care for all the extra features, just want something that helps me go faster, and given my setup a JB4 is not going to add much power to a JB3.

Than leave it as it is. No need to run the flash at all. I was actually referring to run tuned maps not the bms backend but its up to u to go deeper into it.

Do it even if the peak power will be unchanged, the flash will give better low end torque and smother cold starts.
