I'm Back after flood killed my M3
My saga is here:
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...light=mjposner Anyway, I spent the last months driving a 2009 650i, but still pined for an M3. Finally found a 2011 I could afford, so I made the trad last Monday. Glad to be back. My old car went from auction to Ebay where it sold for $28k. Flood was revealed but seller claimed it was fine. Some odd lights were on the dash, but were cleverly concealed in the pics for the most part. Wonder if it was bought to part out or drive. My new car:

Yes insurance covered it, but at the time I wasn't prepared to spend $50k plus to get an M3 still under warranty, I only paid $36,999 for my 09 650i. I finally found an M that I could afford but still under factory warranty.
The 650i is nice, and if it was a convertible, six speed manual and better stereo with usb, I could see keeping one instead, but mine was a coupe, autoslushbox, no usb and older very slow nav.

I read through the flood story, and I can only imagine that the only thing worse than having a flooded car, is then not being able to get back into a the car you love.
