I have 07/2023.58 and see other members having 11/2023.42.

I see people getting updates from dealers, but not sure about owners updating it themselves remotely. I have tried to do it, but iDrive always says it is up to date.

Is it possible for owners to update remotely?.

The ota version lags the dealer load by a few months. They run it in the field by dealer load for a few months, then roll it out in europe, working their way up to larger markets.

I suspect that 11/2023.42 will be out ota end of jan or mid feb in the us. Its rolling out ota in europe right now
I got 11/2023.42 at the dealer at the beginning of jan to fix my sos malfunction.

Theres 3 major ota releases every year.
Roughly
3/202x.xx, ota release around may-june
7/202x.xx, ota release around Sept-oct
11/202.xx, ota release around jan-feb

I am on 03.2023.50 (2022M50i). And still don’t show newer updates via OTA. Do I have to be registered with local dealer?. I moved last yr and haven’t been to local dealership till now.

no, doesnt have to be registered with the local dealer.
i believe thats the latest OTA for the pre-lci
