Delphi In-cap Ignition Coil VS Bosch

http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...ELGN10328.html

Any experience with these coils?

i just ordered a full set

UPDATE

So i recived my Delphi Coils but, they are the wrong ones for n54, reason why is this!

Nothing is really different in length, but design the only difference is the head and it is a bit wider and also has these protrusions sticking out there for it does not sit properly. i put them on my car and they were a bit loose but i had no isses until a day later i started the car this morning and when fully stopped my car would shake and i never witnessed this before.

so i am returning them and i bought new bosch coils.

This is comparing Delphi to Bosch (bosch from my car that i took off and Delphi the one i bought)

But when i purchased new bosch coils i noticed that these delphi coils will work for n54 but i didn't want to spend double the cash.

This is the one i bought and tested ( loose and not the right fitment even though it say's fits n54 335i engine)

This delphi should be the correct one because its identical to bosch ( not the same as one above because it does not have protrusions and bump outs its straight down the head.)

The Bosch ones are only $38 USD on rockauto.com

Probably best to get those... I've heard aftermarket ones can have fitment issues. Cost is nearly the same.

In July I helped my friend replace plugs in his 335is (does it every 20k miles) and I'm like 100% positive the coils said Bosch BMW on them.

im doing research right now, yes bosch is a oem provider for bmw and so is delphi with its coils in the new n55 engine's... i bought one bosch coil and replaced the one that was misfiring and they are identical to the original ones that came with the car but i have read that the delphi coils are as good

I'm looking at replacing my coils. Has anyone tried the Bosch coils with the Bosch part # 00124? Are they the exact same as BMW part # 12 13 7 594 937 ? I've seen that they cross-reference that part number.

Can't speak for the US, but in Europe for my engine (N53) BMW have dropped Bosch coils for Delphi. They issued a superseded part number and deleted the old (Bosch) part number.

Interesting that Delphi coils are shrouded in a metal heat shield (which the Bosch design doesn't have). As heat is the big enemy of these coils (try taking one out after a run!) I'd say the Delphi is probably the one to go for. Just my five cents...

yes bosch coils come originally with the n54 they are its oem provider, but now in the newer models they are putting delphi coils but you need to buy the right one i show it in the pics above they are like $45 each... bosch is good and its a perfect fitment and will last... and price is reasonable
