Unless you go BMW Individual route, the configurator does not allow a "full merino" option - the best you can get is "extended merino". What is the difference between Extended Merino with the additional Leather Dashboard/Doors option and the Full Merino with that same option? It appears to be identical? Is Full Merino even a thing or just a term folks made up since it's not on the configurable options?
Full merino is an option and is limited to VBEI for MY22

MY22 BMW X7 Merino upholstery options:

1. Extended Merino = upgraded leather seats

2. Full Merino = Extended Merino + 776 + 4M5 and adds leather lower dashboard and covers lower door storage panel in leather - not the interior pocket itself

*For MY21-22 Full Merino is limited to VBEI Ivory White/Night Blue Full Merino Leather

MY22 Additional options:
- 4M5 Leather dashboard = replaces standard SensaTec upper dashboard and front/rear door window sills with leather

- 776 Anthracite Alacantara headliner (ZMP M Sport package includes 776)

You can order Extended Merino + 4M5 + 776

Notes for previous model years:
- MY19-20 Extended Merino = upgraded leather seats and leather covered lower center tunnel trim
- MY20 Full Merino was available in Ivory, Ivory/Night Blue, Coffee, Black

Much appreciated thank you! So basically one is missing out the lower door leather trim and lower dash leather when opting for extended merino + 4M5 + 776. Meh it is what it is… mines already in “awaiting carrier” so nothing to do about it anymore.

Ja, exactly. Full is nice especially the lower dashboard but unless you like VBEI color combo interior - Extended + 4M5 + 776 sets a great interior driving experience

I just realized I didn't complete a sentence but you got the idea, LOL.

Congratulations and looking forward seeing your new X7.

I was able to add the Tartufo Full Merino to my XB7 for an additional $1500.

Super helpful! I was wondering if the leather dash option added it to the upper door sills as well. Glad it does.

That is a no brainer. Tartufo in general is a very sought after BMW leather color.

One disappointment is that the lower half of the B-pillar is still bare plastic. In my 750 this was covered in Nappa leather.

They should just wrap that in Alcantara. Maybe something that can be done aftermarket.

It is a real small piece?? Oddly enough the third row where every other manufacturer has plastic pieces as you get in, we have all leather from the windowsills down to where it meets the carpet. Damn, my luggage is living large. I had to actually get two alcantara grey blankets from amazon to wrap those parts so my big trip luggage doesn’t damage the piano lacquer trim and leather armrest.

It's actually quite a large piece. It would be about where your shoulder is when sitting in the driver seat, extending down to the carpet.

O.k. That piece that has the vents in it for the second row.

I'm assuming that's carpet trim below the 3rd row arm rests as it does looks like Alcantara finish.
Nice interior by the way!

Ughhh still mad that my wife wanted Cognac over Tartufo. Don't get me wrong I like Cognac but wanted Merino.

One thing to point out, the leather dash is a smooth finish, matching the Merino leather. The base Sensatech dash is a pebbled finish, same as on the Vernasca leather. So you'll have mismatched dash/seat look if you go with Vernasca + leather dash or Merino + base dash.
