Was worth the wait and definitely worth the reorder for touchscreen. My credit union even extended me the same rate from back in October. So all in it was a total win. Very happy!!!

Congrats and enjoy it! Really encouraged to hear all of this and thanks for the update. My build completion date bumped up to 1/19/22 and crossing fingers.

Did your SA indicate he/she though HK may be available on 40is come March? It's not on the officially build sheets, however wireless charging wasn't either and now that seems to be back. The HK item is the final one that really roils me as I'm going to have to invest in something aftermarket which wasn't my preference. I would have gladly paid for the HK or B&W but SA said he couldn't do either.

I asked my SA when things would get back to normal. His comment was, "I think it will take a year from now until we are close to things being back to normal but I feel it will get much better as early as March/April." Then he went on to say that who really knows. I bet they had a meeting and they have told them that things are getting better and March may be a time point that they said things get better. However that could mean a lot of things for a lot of different models. If people can wait, that's on their side. But I bet we see prices go up along the way, they have plenty of people that will buy their cars. Even if not perfect.

Just to clarify: From a build perspective, things are in most cases back to normal. The fact that some options are missing on the base model X7 but available in the two higher trims is less due to supply chain and more due to BMW re-arranging their offerings across different model lines.
Ie, starting with M50i and above, the X7 has all options available to it, with the exception of B&W which comes only in the highest trim.
Except for the sound system, it appears that late January and later builds are back to normal, including all the touch-, wireless-, alcantara-, trim- and functionality features (judging purely on looking at X5, 7series and X7 builds at a large local dealer).
The pricing woes I would imagine to continue for probably another 6-12 months because dealers are going to ride this out as hard as they can, even if vehicle supply slowly recovers and consumer sentiment slowly recedes a little bit. However, on average, most people did not get 10-15% off MSRP prior to this like some savvy negotiators were able to.

I think all my codes are good. Only concern is 6NW and 6U8. I have seen no enhanced bluetooth, and enhanced bluetooth included so not sure anymore. Any input?

1)I am wondering what 212 is and 5AV.
2)I will be looking for Temp. Control rules for seat heating and cooling when outside is certain temp. for passenger seat, as I have it on my 540i.
3)Will be doing some coding also.

S5AV = Active Guard, preconditioning and part of Driver Assistance

Active Guard monitors potential hazards, supporting drivers to react in time. It preconditions the vehicle brakes and in some instances (subject to speed, distance and hazard parameters) applies them to minimise stopping distances in an emergency.

Congrats! Some additional assistance on those codes... first off, unsure how up to date this is but I use the following to search for specific codes:

In terms of 6nw, I have collected multiple data points indicating that this code supersedes 6ns and includes all enhanced bluetooth functionality in addition to wireless charging. From what I can gather, there is a bmw side system constraint that once this code is added, the 6ns is automatically removed but the functionality remains. I'm awaiting my build myself and I was sweating bullets on this one but am pretty condfident it's going to be ok.

6u8 is gesture control so nothing to worry about there either. For what it's worth, as of this moment you look like you have a pretty clean build without any eyebrow raising codes based on my cursory look.

KAA and greeneyedgirl - I just picked up my M50i last week. Placed the order 11/28 and took 59 days to get to the dealer. There were no deletions - touchscreen works great, got the trailer hitch etc. Only thing I would have liked was the B&W but that ship sailed long ago. I think BMW have figured out workarounds or gotten chip supply issue solved. And trust me, it's worth the wait!
