If I want to pick up an X7 in stock, what kind of premium do I expect to pay?

On September 9, 2021, I placed an order for a 2022 BMW X7 M50i through a broker named David Aviles. Even though David is a independent broker, all of his emails and conversations with me suggest that he is linked to the dealership, BMW of Catonsville. When placing the order with David Aviles, it was communicated on several occasions, both via phone call and text message, that I would be personally picking up my vehicle at the BMW South Carolina factory. During this time, I would also be able to attend the complimentary BMW Performance Center Experience. David Aviles summarized this process and added that he would need to overnight the lease agreement paperwork to my home address so that BMW could receive the purchase documentation two weeks prior to my pick up at the factory. Throughout the past month, I have contacted David Aviles several times through text message (all of this is documented and can be easily produced).
On 9/9/21, David Aviles provided me the “Vehicle Inquiry’ order form. On this pdf, I was given an Order Production # and with that number, I was able to track my vehicles production on the BMWUSA.com website. This gave me insight as to the progress of the vehicle and gave me a good idea of when the car would be completed.
Over the past two weeks, I have contacted David Aviles several times questioning why I have not received the lease agreement paperwork in the mail. Seeing the cars production status getting closer to completion, I became more worried that I would not get the paperwork in the mail in time in order to send it back to BMW two weeks prior to my pick up at the South Carolina factory.

David Aviles is now blatantly ignoring my text messages and phone calls. As of yesterday, 10/4/2021, the tracking shows that my vehicle was ‘dispatched from the factory’ and is in route to the dealership. I contacted BMW corporate today at 9:32am and spoke with Jasmine, who advised me that the BMW X7 M50i, has indeed, left the factory late last night and was en-route to BMW of Catonsville.

On October 5, 2021 at 11:14am ET, I placed an outbound call to David Lee, General Sales Manager at BMW of Catonsville. During this phone call, David Lee informed me that the vehicle order that was placed on 9/9/2021 by David Aviles was placed under David Aviles’ name and not under the customers name. David Lee could not provide justification for why this was done as placing a vehicle order in the name of the customer is generally normal sales practice. David Lee then went on to inform me that there had been a huge mistake and that my vehicle that I had ordered was accidentally sold to another customer by a different sales representative at BMW of Catonsville. David Lee stated that he took ownership of this mistake and that the only thing he could provide me is a brand new vehicle order; one that would require I wait until end of November to receive.

Over the past month, I have lied to and deceived by BMW of Catsonville. Just looking at their reviews online, I could quickly see that there has been similar occurrences with other customers. Having been promised a vehicle and now uncovering that I was being lied to all along has caused extreme stress and anxiety for me. Please help me! Where do I start with getting help?
Wow. Randomly came across this thread (do not have an x7). I placed an order with him for an X4 m last year. Great experience until the order was placed. Disappeared and kept trying to raise the original lease amount and not releasing the paperwork to me. Sketchy ass dude. Called my cc company and got my deposit back. Such a waste of 2 months.

Everyone I reached out to was asking full MSRP.

If you're savvy though you should be able to get a couple grand knocked off without trying too hard.

If you're in a market with many dealerships in the same vicinity you'll stand a better chance.

True MF and MSRP

Hi All;

Has anybody been able to get the true current MF and MSRP on a new build. I mean I'm shooting for 1-2% off MSRP with the true .00123 MF but can't really get close. Im in NC but willing to buy outside of market if anybody has any dealer suggestions.

Looks like Dan Next Level Auto Brokers has access to a couple X7s with 1-2% off at base MF.

Can you elaborate on this? I don't understand "go to one of the forward under fetch". I can pull up the Inspect Element page, but do not see anything labeled forward under fetch..

Thanks in advance!!

Hit F12 when you're on my garage, then refresh the page. Under Fetch/XHR you should see several forward line items. Expand each one until you see data subheader with arrow. Expand and scroll for the production date.

That's odd...I don't see Fetch or XHR anywhere in the code..

nadylime - for context i placed my order on 11/28. it went to scheduled for production on 12/17. 10 days ago on saturday 1/8 it switched to Production Begins.

i've been checking daily since and as of mid day today no change. then i just checked again and it skipped forward 3 steps to entering assembly line.

so that lines up perfectly with the earlier post about 10+ days from "production begins" to production actually beginning.

What is the longest that anyone had a newbuild sit in "Awaiting Carrier Assignment" status on MyGarage? I've been waiting 5 days since it was completed and status hasn't changed. I spoke to my CA and he said they are getting multiple trucks per day from the factory. Delivery was scheduled for Saturday 3 days ago. I'm just getting a bad feeling about the whole thing, given how dealers are able to sell vehicles for big premiums over list price.

It could be a good week or two. It's just a logistics thing, need to have enough going to your area from Spartanburg to fill a truck, and if they have more then enough, likely dealing with a first in/first out situation. I'm sure BMW is being as efficient as they can with the carriers available. When he says "from the factory", he might mean from port, different build dates, etc. Sounds like he just assumed it should be within a couple of days because he's close and say it happen several times. Possible it's on the truck and it didn't updated it yet as well. I wouldn't bother talking to your CA, he doesn't know any more than you, the Genius line would be your best/most direct answer.

Yeah I never considered that BMW might ship them from Spartanburg to the port at Charleston, then truck them from the port back to GA. Kind of like every Fedex package goes through Memphis, or used to at least. But I would imagine their logistics software would optimize for this, especially since SUVs are such a huge portion of their product mix and transporting them is expensive.

Are we expecting any change to MF/Residual for February? Think this will be my delivery month. When are those figures usually released?

0. its MSRP.

but long gone are the days of -10%

last year i got a quote for a X7 and X5. I passed because I was like this can't stay up here much longer...
now the x5 quote (which is $350+ more per month than my prior quote) is more expensive than the x7 quote i got last year.

i should have just pulled the trigger.
