Presets vs. favorites

While helping my wife her radio presets I noticed … say on Sirius … you can add a station to presets or favorites. U can remove them also.

But when u go up a menu function and want to use them only option is presets. I recall in my 21 x3 I had favs. Anyways, if favorites are presets, why do they have add to fav if there is no way to recall/use them.

Am I missing something?

Thx

There should be an explanation of these features in the built in owners manual in iDrive (which should also have a search feature).

SiriusXM has a “favorite” feature which gives additional options (teams/shows/artists/etc) that will give you notifications when they are airing. This favorite feature in Sirius is different than your radio presets which can be a combination of AM/FM/Sirius.
