If you can individualize your SPORT mode...you can accomplish what you seek without coding COMFORT+ as a selection.

If you individualize SPORT mode to keep CHASSIS only and NOT select DRIVETRAIN...the drivetrain will default to COMFORT mode while steering will be in SPORT mode. Thus giving you what you say you want...except its accomplished in SPORT mode instead of COMFORT mode.

Anyone know where the "acoustic signal when reverse gear is engaged" coding is hiding? Doesn't show up in instrument cluster for me. Is it in Expert?

thanks!

Of course when you disconnect Bimmerlink the exhaust valve closes back. Supposedly when you open the exhaust flap with Bimmerlink you can pull the exhaust valve fuse. Does anyone know which fuse that is?

Thanks

Latest OTA installed, can no longer connect to BimmerCode

My setup is an ENET cable to Ethernet/Lightning adapter into an iPhone12 pro. No issues in September when I first coded. Did the OTA last week and it wiped most codes out. Went to connect today and the error was could not connect.

I need to test with a new cable, Bluetooth OBD I have to confirm, but have others seen the same or is all working fine for you post OTA update?

Is an ios15 thing…you need to update your adapter to an apple approved one and all will be solved.

I had the same problem after iOS 15 update. I bought this adapter and worked right away.

You may have to dig deeper into the owners manual, but based on reports from other X7 owners, there are several little adjustability "nuggets" in the system from the factory that have been found. Several of the most commonly coded options on older BMWs come standard from the factory now.

That said, some features will always require coding to change, usually due to some legality issue or DOT compliance issue here in the US. Removing the legal disclaimers upon engine start is an example...
I think they don't care about anything. When i picked my 2022 X7 i asked genius guy if they can dissable start/stop function in comfort mode and guess what? NO WE CAN NOT but you can dissable it if you drive in sport mode (WTF?) and they removed button that turns off that option. This is what was the number one what i needed to get rid off.

Anyone tried changing ambient lightning just how the guy did in X5? I tried and is completely different from what is shown for his X5. It has a mark next to G07 not G05/6 (understandable that it's an X7). Just wonder if anyone followed his steps and what happened? You panoramic roof is still has an ambient color?

Posted this in a different thread. But think I should have done it here.

I currently have G30 and have coded with Bimmercode. I am getting X7 40i in about a month or so. I have compiled a list of coding options, and some require advanced setting or eSYS.

I have spent many hours trying to find out how to get and use the eSYS downloads and stuff but I just keep going to different websites and downloading stuff that doesn't open, so I am wondering, 1)how I can get eSYS mods done by someone? 2)Is there a list of the advanced numbers codes in bimmercode as to what they are for/do, specifically flash brake lights, I see G05 has it??

My list is below to see if anyone can help when I get Delivery.

I think 1 - 16 can be bimmercoded, not sure of the others.

1 AUTO STOP START
2 Fog lights off with high beam, leave on(deactivate)
3 Tire Pressure and Temperature
4 Automatic Passenger mirror tilt value, 30%(?)
5 Window lifter interruption when opening a door
6 Seat heating/cooling setting memory unit
7 Video In Motion
8 Video via USB
9 Lock/Unlock Sounds & Duration
10 5 Flash Single Touch Turn
11 ASD OFF
12 Open AND close the tailgate from the driver's door
13 Open AND close the tailgate from remote
14 Max audio on start up
15 Rain-light-sensor sensitivity
16 Seat Heat Cooling Timing off
17 Anti Dazzle
18 Brake Flash when Applied - what number and steps in expert mode do I use
19 Increase vented seat fan speed
20 Seat temp control rules for Passenger & Rear, steering
21 Massage timing on off
LATER lower when in park to low setting

Thank you all for reading this. Please let me know if this is correct thread/post or if it should be somewhere else

E-SYS can do most of what you're looking for, particularly the anti-dazzle. I just had it coded remotely (over the internet) by r33_RGSport today

BimmerCode asked me to update to iOS 15.2 and it fixed it. I’ll be returning the new adapter. Thanks everyone!

I just tried to use it on my X7 and had no luck with getting VIM to work. It asks for an additional step at the end, but then fails. Says to click start once the screen is on the menu, or push menu button, but I don't have a menu button and it fails no matter what I try. What am I missing? I also wanted the 5x turn signal, but says it's not supported anymore. Only 2 things I wanted, so 0-2 so far.

Does anyone know if you can code the steering wheel warmer memory to stay on for 24 hours? I was able to do this in my X5M Comp with Bimmercode but don't see the option for the X7. I hate having to turn the darn thing back on every time I get in the car....especially in the winter.

Was playing around in BimmerCode yesterday and noticed the different ambient light colors not listed in idrive settings. I changed it to the light blue color, cyan. After turning off and trying it out, it didn't change but then going to the ambient light settings in idrive, I clicked on "bronze" and the cyan blue popped on in the car. Not sure if the other color listed in the picture will show up in the same manner or not. The factory blue setting is really intense at full brightness. I know u can adjust the brightness and control it doing nighttime hours. The lighter colors at full brightness is very less intense and calming.

There are options under "climate rules" to set the steering wheel heater to come on if the temperature drops below a certain threshold.

I find that never actually works.....this is in 3 different cars, too. It would still never come on under the temperature threshold. A lot of people have experienced the same on here I found out......

You haven't had any issues?

Interesting. No, I haven't had any problems with it either. Always comes on for me below my set threshold of 40 degrees F. Seat heat also works consistent for me too.
