Losing Garage door opener memory
A few weeks ago, I couldn't close the garage door with the homelink system in the X7. Sorry if this is the wrong term. I recently reprogrammed it, and it stopped working again. It opens it, but stopped closing it.
I've had the X7 since 2020, and only recently encountered this problem. Anyone else and is there a know fix for this? |

The homelink is temperamental - I have this problem on the Honda with one of the doors. I reset, reprogram, etc. No luck - so Honda just uses the other door... I've never had that problem with the BMW.

There is a procedure in the manual to reset all codes. Have you tried that? I haven't gotten around to it yet but need to. |

Also check your light bulbs. An LED bulb I had installed in my garage door motor was interfering with the signal. Once I switched it out to a different brand LED bulb, my home link problems disappeared.

I have seen this reported on several forms about led bulbs and garage door interface. I use two 65w incandescent bulbs per opener and my range is about 35 yards with the BMW.
