Question Taking out HID fogs back to stock, question

I am turning in my 328 tomorrow and the driver's side foglight is having issues. I was just going to leave the HID kit in when I brought it back but now that the light is giving me errors I need to fix it today before I bring it back in. I did not install the HID kit and not really sure what I need to do to go back to stock.

Does the HID kit plug into the stock connector and all I have to do is remove the ballast and the stock plug should go back to the regular fog? I dont know what kind of kit it is but I think it was a PnP type. Just want to have an idea of what kind of work I am in for.

Remove the HID bulb and ballast, reinstall halogen bulb, put at all back together, done.
