Below are instructions I got from Tokenmaster. Note that E-Sys must not be patched and PSdZData must be all OEM files or they will be rejected by Launcher PRO Setup Guide: 1) Install E-Sys by executing the setup. Accept all defaults 2) Install PSdZData by extracting the content to the data folder. If you didn't change the default, the folder is typically C:\Data. Extract the content so you'll end up with folder structure like C:\Data\psdzdata and NOT C:\Data\psdzdata\psdzdata 3) Run E-Sys at least once to ensure it opens without any issue. 4) Install Google AUthenticator on your mobile device and ensure system time is up to date. 5) Install Launcher PRO. An activation code is required to run Launcher PRO. 6) Run Launcher PRO and login using your email and the generated TOTP. 7) Choose either Static or Dynamic activation 8) Find E-Sys by browsing for the location. Use the "+" icon to browse for the folder location 9) Repeat for each installed application on your system 10) Don't forget to enjoy and have fun! You just pay him for the launcher and he will provide all necessary links for download.

Just got the same email. Unfortunately, it appears that all of the "features" listed are already in my BMW. How do you determine which build of iDrive you have?

Sorry about that. The location was meant for jcarlilesiu.

I don't have that checkbox for displaying assisted driver view with 7.2019 on my 2019 model. Bummer. |

2019 X7 and 07/2019.53 I drive release.
I have a 2019 X7 with pretty much every option. It was just updated to 07/2019.53. This is the second update done to the car to attempt to fix some "issues". I love many aspects of the vehicle but am not at all impressed by the software quality.
I was given a 2020 X7 as a loaner and it has 07/2019.40 as its software version. I noticed a couple of features that my 2019 X7 does not have and I now have the later software release. The features I noticed: 1. The assisted driving display that shows the vehicles around you. 2. Active PDC with braking intervention - nifty feature that stops the car if you are backing up and are going to hit something on the side of the car or behind you. This is great safety feature and I am surprised this was not enabled. Last edited by bfisher; 09-26-2019 at 11:37 PM.. |

They installed 07/2019.55 and said it was labeled a "Software Quality Update" (whatever that means). I'll post my observations after a week or two.

I was just updated to 07/2019.55 yesterday. Couple of observations from the first day:
The car avatar on top view when backing up is now the right color. The GPS is off. Hopefully it recalibrates itself today. Some extra features look to have been enabled, but haven't had a chance to go through it all.

The latest software update definitely corrected the speed readout. Before this update the speed readout was 5 MPH higher than Waze (BMW 75 MPH - Wave 70 MPH). Nows the two readouts are exactly the same. It appears the update also resolved an issue folding the drivers-side 3rd row seat. It would hang up when I would press the button to folder it down, go figure.

Also noticed that when using Waze in CarPlay that the BMW Nav screen is no longer displayed when you jump back to the iDrive screen. Instead a new screen is displayed that says Nav is being handled by CarPlay. And pressing the Map button on the center console now takes you back to CarPlay and Waze.

My car is in the shop and is supposed to get a software update. I wouldn’t hold your breath on the OTA iDrive updates. If you ask me, they are never gonna happen and if they do, might be kind of a nightmare. My advice is that if your car is working, wait until your first service to ask the dealer to do it. They seem to roll out updates based on your VIN, I got an email in September saying my car was eligible for a software update, so I’m holding my dealers feet to the fire while he has it in the shop. My dealer is 90 mins drive from me, so I don’t pop in - ever. I recommend you look at the X5 forum. It’s basically the same car in terms of software and iDrive, and that forum is much more active. Hope that helps! |
