Cool Redelivery - a quick 34 days later...

My 330xi came (via the Grand Choice) into Port NEAT on 10. December.

Customs was backed up and the car wasn´t released and cleared until Friday. It was transferred to the VPC on Saturday.

Monday evening I received a call from the VPC manager - my car was on the truck pad and would be arriving at the dealership before 10 a.m. the next day. I arrived around 14:00 and the car was sitting out front, detailed, full tank of petrol, ready to go!

It had 2434 km on the clock, 8 more than the 2426 when I left it in Garching at Harms.

We set up BMW Assist, Sirius, and the dealership installed my umbrella and snap-in adapter kit (for the SE T637, which I don´t regularly use but I wanted to try the external aerial).

Great to have the car back after 34 days, but boy do people drive slowly on the Autobahn in this country.

Well New York has a speed limit of either 55 or 65 mph (88 km/h and 105 km/h) on the Autobahnen and I believe NJ and Connecticut have similar limits on their Autobahnen.

Compared with my top speed of 240 km/h 4 weeks ago on the A1, this is slow, even though most drive above the (ridiculously low) speed limits.

I live in Bayside, on the Nassau/Queens border. I've been dealing with DiFeo for slightly shy of 20 years (long story but former dealer principal was from Long Island so...)

But I do visit NJ from time to time so please wave!

Wanted just to add a comment, the built-in umbrella is a very useful option.

I also discovered that the cargo net from my 5er fits the 3er´s trunk!

Now, onto programming the HomeLink and my favorite Sirius channels.

Herzlichen Glückwunsch. Ein sehr, sehr schönes Auto. Fahren Sie vorsichtig!

P.S. Du hast eine tolle Farbe gekauft

Welcome back,
You were joking about what I feel is the worst part about the ED program.
You accustomed to driving at way over 100mph, with no hassles and then have to come back to a place were 80mph makes you a criminal.
