OP, don't ask opinions on here. Everyone else wants to feel like they found some rare gem and a cheap 08 couldn't possibly be any good! Go see it for yourself, get it inspected and buy it if you like it
I say that because I personally knew the owner and the car had a very hard life. Cheap parts and bad maintenance is both.

The hood doesn't even close probably from the pictures

If I was you, I would check the car in person before buying especially high mileage and year.

Good luck with searching, hope you get your princess soon.

I think you would be impressed with this M, get a PPI and if all checks out buy it. If I were looking I would purchase it

Track cars have a lot of work done because they need it. Off the top of my head, oil changes, diff fluid, brakes, tires, wheel bearings, bushings....that's a lot of areas for the original owner to cheap out on.

Thats what I assumed, people who track cars usually know their shit and would maintain their cars pretty well?

Either way last1left was generous enough to check it out for me and even take it for a test drive and he gave me the OK.
Next step would be getting a PPI and if all checks out I'll be owning that beauty.

I kind of disagree. The parts you mentioned have no aftermarket alternative.

Sure he could of ran cheap tires, but that has no ill effect on the vehicle. Bushings, control arms, wheel bearings etc, again there is no aftermarket for these parts. The owner would only be able to replace with OEM.
