Trunk rattle

I cant for the life of me figure out where this noise is coming from. Clearly from the trunk/rear area. Have tried removing all items from trunk, 3rd row seats up or down, privacy shades on or off and still there. Noticeable with the slightest bumps. Anyone else?

Yes, I had a rattle / noise in the trunk area as well. It was the liftgate itself, I took it to the dealer and they adjusted and also lubricated everting and the noise is gone now.

I had the same problem on mine. My lower liftgate was adjusted because it would get stuck when it was trying to open and then the upper liftgate started rattling.

It will still click once in a while but the dealership fix was adjusting these round bump stops in the attached photo. You turn them counter clockwise (to the left) to extend them further out. They are a bit hard to turn but when they do they have a stepped / click so you can be sure you do both sides evenly (or at least track how far exactly you turned it so you can put it back / go the other way if it gets worse.

I don't have a rattle when driving. However, I just started noticing a creaking noise when the trunk lid latches in the closed position. Only the upper tail gate makes the noise when closing.

We're having a ton of rain here right now. So, maybe that has something to do with it. I took delivery from factory to dealer in mid November.
