Hi,

Please do not order a car from BMW of San Luis Obispo they do not sell cars to the Military, or people who live out of state. My son in the Navy and saved up $20k to buy a car. I helped him find the car below, and he attempted to purchase the car by contacting the dealership. The delearship informed him that they would not sell the car to him because he wanted to title it out of state. I am not sure if this the right place to post this, but after numerous hours reviewing cars, I am very frustrated and just wanted to share.

A colleague of mine just went through a ton of hoops to buy a new Bronco in Michigan (we're in Ohio). Eventually they relented, but there were a lot of hoops he had to jump through and the dealership made it very clear they weren't interested in making an out-of-state deal.

I had this problem with more than one dealership in California. It’s bad enough they won’t sell out of state, but not selling to the military they should be run out of business.

If you can find something at BMW of Santa Maria, Jon Shafer is outstanding and has no problem selling out of state. He is the founder of Bimmerfest and has a great reputation!

Really? This has unfortunately not been my experience really at all with them. I live in the county and bought my m340i in the Bay Area bc of the lackluster service/experience when trying to buy with them.
