Bmw X7 40I (B58) Stage Tune Questions

Hello, has anyone got a x7 40i staged tuned?
If so, how much HP did it gain from 335HP
Stage 1 or Stage 2 and if it’s 91/93 Oct or E85?
Did you get the speed limiter removed?
If so, what’s the new top speed besides the 130Mph.
0-60 on stock is 5.8 Sec, what’s the new 0-60 after the tune?

If the 10th digit of your VIN is L I can download Noelle Performance software. If it's an "M" I will not. Too easy for BMW to blow it out and lock it down again if they ever do a software update or recall.

You’re able to do the performance software, before that are you able to answer my questions above so I can see the difference in Hp, 0-60, and top speed?

I don't have 0-60 or top speed figures because I don't beat the daylights out of it, especially from a standing start. (Wife's daily is a 2019). The top speed limiter is removed, and I have seen a GPS verified 150 with it before I backed off. I don't know the final terminal velocity, but it is definitely in excess of 150. HP and torque figures are in the link above.

Software package is the same as the X5 40 with B58.

I'm also interested in the Noelle Performance tune but I hear they're out of business (someone on FB told me that - haven't verified yet). The 10th digit in my 2022 X7 M50i is an "N", so not sure if that can be tuned or not.

Appreciate the OP's thorough review here. My wife's 19' 40i is at 60K so it'd make sense to go ahead and tune it, but I'm tied into a BMW service plan for another 2 years. I'm just afraid I'd have issues with the dealer as I don't sense they're mod friendly. As opposed to our Audi dealer where our service advisor suggested the tune and shop to have it done at.

I have a 2019 40i that I shared details and thoughts about the unlocking process and my MHD tune here: https://g07.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2069394

Noelle is still alive and well. The revised encryption protocols that BMW and other manufacturers are using from model year 2022 is a stumbling block though. At this point on the 2022 and newer vehicles, the only option that I'm aware of is to send your DME to FEMTO in Finland. The cost to unlock is around $1800.00, plus whatever software you choose to have installed when you get it back from them. The risk however, is that if your car goes back to the dealer for a recall that requires a software update, you will lose your software upgrade and get your ride back with a freshly locked DME. And yes, you will become your own warranty station in the event of a mechanical failure under warranty because BMW will become aware of non-stock software.

Your VIN's 10th digit (N) is one with the updated security protocols.

I am also interested in a possible tune on my 2020 X7 M50i to around 650 hp, but know nothing about the tuning process and don't want to get screwed on some crap job. I visited the Noelle link you provided and although they did not have the X7 on there, I'm guessing the X5 version is the same? Also, beyond the listed price - what other modifications would be needed? Is it a plug and play device or a complete process performed in a local shop?

It can be tuned, you just need an femto DME unlock, and you can you BM3 or MDH or if an tuner has their own software they can use that too
