interesting situation

well today my hood cable must have snapped somewhere along the line and now cant get my hood open...which wouldnt be a big deal to just take it to dealership and get if fixed..well the thing is, is that underneath my hood i have my sstt installed and now cant get it out...

never tried this maneuver on my bimer but I opened my honda once with a similar scenario of snapped wire. I used a tool and guided it into the direction of the locks holding the hood and firmly pushed one away and the second one was a double lock that i picked with hand as usual.......but once again that was a crappy car, and you dont want to scratch anything.
Best advice check a friends car with open hood and figure it out if a tool will fit and for access points.

That's a pretty bad situation to be in. Like the above person said, try with a friend's car to see where the access point should be.

i highly doubt theyd even notice your tune if youre bringing the car in to get the hood cable fixed

well i went to dealership and it took them about an hour to pop it open ....turns out there is 1 cable from the lever inside car that "y" off into to cable for both latches..and all that happend was the one cable just got unhooked from the other 2...so anyways they're a good dealertship and honestly didnt care about tunes done.
