Have any of you guys seen the new alpina b3 sedan?
It is basically a tunned 335i sedan with 360hp instead of 300 and has quad tailpipes
I think it looks really classy yet sporty. I especially love the greatly detailed interior.

Now im just wondering if they are going to make an alpina version of the coupe and maybe the new M3?
I really am considering buying the alpina coupe if it comes out instead of the M3.

There will be a B3 Coupe, but don't get your hopes up for an Alpina based on the M3... Alpina has worked close together with BMW since the 1960's, and there's a kind of "understanding" between them that Alpina shall not compete with the M-division.

Alpina makes understated cars (iron fist in velvet glove) whereas the M-cars have the more "sporty" attitude.

..and for those who thought that the new M3 was the first 3-series with a V8; Alpina presented their B8 4.6 in 1995 ....

Looks nice, except the wheels are more "luxury" than "sport". The red interior spices things up, but bet it will be expensive for all that leather.

The B3 represents a strong alternative for the new M3. There is no shame in owning a BMW with the Alpina badge!

I love it also....I hope we can get something like this in the M3...glad I got to see a blue w/ red interior even if its not interlagos & fully red interior...I'm thinking about that combo for my m3

I just hope the B3 cope gets simillar hp to the m3.

I would be happy if you had the option to spec out the interior like that in the m3 (pianno blck cinnamon or red)?

Alpina is a car manufacturer, not a tuner. Bmw sends them the raw chassis (If I am not mistaken), then Alpina wil start from here. They use their own block, turbo, etc..

Hartge also offered a 5ltr v8 in the previous generation M3.

I doubt it would, as the previous B3 was significantly slower than the M3, as was the B5. Alpina doesn't target their vehicles at the M versions.
