Used M4 Convertible high mileage variety
I currently drive an 2012 M3 vert, and been thinking of possibly buying a new or used M4 vert.
There are two used locally, a Sakhir Red CPO for $79k and this one which is cheap, but a high mileage with only 13k miles left on warranty (so one year for me): http://www.offleaseonly.com/used-car...59fj967912.htm If I do not go used, I may do ED delivery next fall.

If you are thinkin of spending 79k on M , I wouldn't go with used with such high mileage . Rather, go with new one with necessity options to be within price range.

Offleaseonly usually sells cars with accident histories so make sure to check the car before you buy. Somehow they always find cars with previous accidents with clean carfax. GL.

Buying Used M4 two local options
BMW Dealer has very low mileage (4k) 2015 M4 CPO for $79k
Local high volume dealer has high mileage (35.5k) 2015 M4 for $63k This is a Daily Driver that would get 12-14k a year. I believe the BMW Platinum Extended Warranty would cost $5-6k easily. Discuss!

First thought was to go with the more expensive option and have the peace of mind of free maintenance for 36k.
Personally though, the mystery around how the first 4,000 miles were driven would always bother me, and I'd try to go brand new, follow the proper break in procedures and call it my own from the beginning.

We don't know what the options are on the cars. You can get these cars new in the high 60's to 80's, so that makes a big difference!
Personally I couldn't imagine paying 79k for a used one. Why not just get new at that price? If the 63k one used to be an 80k car, then maybe it's worth it at that discount level but that's up to you.

What Reach said. $79k is simply too much for a second hand version of this car.
