Space Saver Spare - Does it reduce cargo space?

Anyone with a 2023/2024 with the Space Saver Spare option know if it cuts into the cargo space? Or does it create a 'bump' rather than having a flat cargo floor? Thx

Floor is still flat. You just don't get any under floor storage space

We went without a spare due to run flats for the first year and enjoyed the extra space. Mainly because we drove somewhere for a road trip and then moved our son to college. But we changed to non run flats and now have a spare. I think we'll be fine losing that cargo space, definitely a better sacrifice to make hopefully due to longer lasting tires . But yeah like other poster said, it's still flat floor so no issues there.

Only the x3 has a raised floor for the spare. X5 and x7 you just lose underfloor space

Which rim option do you have?

My 2021 X7 40i came with the (Continental CrossContact LX Sport SSR) run-flat tires. I am almost at 40,000 miles with these tires and have had no issues. Of course, I will be replacing them shortly.

The extra storage space has been useful.

Mine arrived from the dealer yesterday. Its a snug fit in the underfloor storage area but affords peace of mind for those long trips we are planning. Will carry a Dewalt electric impact and a compact jack when road tripping. The spare is quite light so I'm not concerned about the additional weight as a permanent addition.

That's pretty darn good to get that many miles on RFs! I was at 20K on the same tires. I probably replaced them about 2-3K early but we're driving 5K miles just this month so needed them done prior.

i think there's a jack in the foam tray in the center of the spare.
i also carry a dewalt impact gun and a breaker bar just in case.

BMW part# 36 11 5 A3E 078

Wheel and tire only, does not include a jack, neither do I see it offered in the BMW ETK.
