Trading M2CS - wild i know …but life changes and we will use the x7 more on a daily basis.


Unique build for many probably:

Dynamic handling

Among other things .

A "budget" x7 build.

Why did I pull the trigger ?

Well I was worried that dynamic handling package would get removed on the 40i permanently and then I would be shit out of luck . For me not having dynamic handling is a deal breaker. Also , what if they get rid of bowers…. Etc.



Why not an x5?

I had one before and honestly just want to have the third row (will be folded 99 percent) for the off chance that I needed it. Small flex here.

Did I get a discount . Yes a little one but less than one percent. This is a long term play. I also got a very nice number on the trade so I am happy after the tax savings .


Am i worried about the stop sale?

Yeah I don't expect to get the x7 until November .


Why not msport ?

I am an msport guy till I die but the muted sport exhaust and no stock blue color made me realize that msport was not in the cards this round .

Also the wife really likes sparkling copper soooo here we are now .


Why sensafin and not merino leather ?

It is soft and free.



Why black interior ?


Because the car has black tires . That's really it.

Congrats on the new ride. I'm with ya as well, I'm usually M-sport all day but in regards to the X7 LCI, I actually prefer the luxury line. Looks classier. Not a huge fan of the high gloss black accents, especially on the bumper. Highly prone to swirls and scratches.

I called the genius line and this is scheduled for week 45.

I have a feeling that the Dynamic Handling Package pushed production back. This was an october production originally.

Dynamic Handling removed from 40i until further notice. To me that means, MY 2024.



It was removed from my BUILD. I cancelled the order.

I noticed that it was missing from the configurator, I'm hoping it comes back with the April highway assist option. Really hoping we don't need to wait another year to get it on order. I cancelled my July order due to it arriving during the stop sale, dealer said it had a defective module which was on backorder in Germany. I really wanted the upgraded highway assist and just got sold on dynamic handling recently, hope it comes back soon!

Yes, it was removed from the configurator but that doesn't mean anything really. it is a marketing tool .

It was still in the bmw ordering system so I was hopeful when it was in my build sheet. But now there is an actual bulletin/ memo and it was deleted from my build.
