In terms of the look, barely noticeable difference. The LED lighting is still very visible. I haven't gotten a chance to test out the heat rejection, but my wife did mention the interior seems a bit more shaded than before.
That's awesome! I saw an m60i at the dealership fully loaded. I got to see and test everything out only sad part was you don't get the moonroof Alcantara unless you get the ivory and add the option to match the headliner. I talked to SA, who told me I might be able to order it, and that might be due to shortages. Not sure how much I can believe that.

It's gorgeous! Aren't you glad you got that color?! I remember your wife selected it and you weren't sure if you would like it until you saw it in person! BMW should do something about the colors on the configurator.

It is so beautiful...

Yeah the configurator is a really bad representation of colors and there weren't a ton of real world examples of this color to begin with (certainly not of the x7 since it's a new color on it).

For example the coffee interior looks like dark coffee with no cream...in real life it looks like chocolate milk

The ceramic coating looks phenomenal on that color! The tint takes it to a whole new level! I’m excited to get mine and happy I didn’t change to Sparkling Copper even though that’s a beautiful color as well. Mine is still in QC, where it has been since 9/27 and according to the dealer should arrive in a week or two but we’ll have to see about that. I plan on tinting the windows but now am interested in the ceramic coating. It looks showstopping. It must look amazing at night with that extra work done. Thanks for sharing.

I'll have to ask my detailer what he used and get back to you.

Any thought process on this option vs the rft ?

Just cheaper to replace in the future
?
Better ride ?
You get the "free" spare tire

My order has the same non rft now.

For me #1 benefit is better ride. Rft tires in my experience are just stiffer overall and provide a harsher, noisier ride despite improvements over earlier models.

The other issue for me (I don't have any data to back this up, so it's more anecdotal for me) is that runflats also seem to be more susceptible to blowouts. So, yes - you might be able to drive on a damaged runflat for a short period of time - but you're more likely to get damage in the first place due to the stiffer sidewall - and irreparable damage at that. Every single car I've ever had with runflats (2016 Infiniti Q50, 2020 m340i, 2020 X5) - I've had issues with the runflats, and have replaced with non-runflat tires which haven't given me any issue.

I also live in the suburbs of Chicago and don't visit the city all that often, so the roads out here are nicely paved and undamaged as opposed to all the potholes within the city limits. So less likely that I'll be dealing with a flat tire anyway (fingers crossed).

I agree, it looks amazing. I can imagine at night with that coating and tint too.

Brigitte are you going to order yours in this color?
So glad in real life pictures it came out so nice. I was so nervous ordering something and investing that amount of money on a color I haven’t seen in person other than a 3 series and on that it was very underwhelming. What a difference it is on the x7.

Yes...that was my choice of color. I have a thread about it. However, I haven't decided yet if I'm going to buy the X7.
