I have it on my '22. It is nice, but not perfect. I like it on some long drives as it really reduces driver fatigue. I especially like it in conjunction with the luxury seating package (which I very much recommend) in terms of reducing fatigue.

Following the available information in the 7 series presser and from the insider info in the upcoming models thread.....

The new assistance package is debuting on the 7 series, with the x5/x6/x7 following in spring 23. It will allow for hands off the steering wheel up to 80mph. The current system requires hands in contact with the steering wheel over 40mph, below 40 it can be touchless. (eyes must be front)

The X7 lci appears to have a new wider sensor vs the pre-lci models so I do not think much is known if it will be a hardware update or available via software update.

Personally, this isn't a huge deal to me, i like having my hand resting on the wheel anyway when the car is self driving at highway speeds. although, it would mitigate the "shot clock" when i want to grab a screw top drink.....

I really want the 757 wheels, but it seems they don't make all-season tires in that size (or I just can't seem to find any). I'd prefer to do all-season as opposed to a separate winter/summer setup.

it is the 315/35/22 rears that are killing us, a random hard to find tire size

this is my single biggest beef with BMW product planners for the x5/x6/x7... all of the upgraded wheel sizes (21/22 on x5, 22 on x7) are not available in a square all season setup. the front size 275/40/22 has some very good options. It would literally take no effort for them, other than adding one more tire option to sourcing and production planning, as the offsets will all fit. As we know the base wheel diameters are available in a single offset square all season options.

Kills those of us who just want the larger wheel look but not hassle. The funny thing is they do exactly this for a chunk of the lineup like the 330 and M340, but somehow not for the x models which would benefit even more from an all season option in larger sizes (and probably better meet consumer expectations in the northern US)

That's a shame. Yeah I noticed that as well... the 315 rear size doesn't have any all-season options.

The other oddity is the inability to option certain colors with the m-sport package (i.e. blue ridge mountain metallic and sparkling copper metallic). I like the base m sport wheels more than the base non m-sport wheels, but was hoping to option one of those colors. Of course this would all be solved if I could just get all season tires in the 22" wheels

I suppose even the 21 factory OEM is a stager setup, we can still use the same rims for square setup? I'm thinking to get a set of winter tires but am very new to all the tire things...

I love those too and ordered them for my 2023MY. agree, wish they were not run flats.

DHP includes both IAS and Active Comfort Drive with Road Preview, which is a form of active anti-roll bars. From the LCI press release:

Quote:
Active Comfort Drive with Road Preview (standard in the new BMW X7 M60i, and part of the Dynamic Handling Package on the xDrive40i) promises supremely assured and dynamic handling ability thanks to its active roll stabilization. Roll stabilization at both axles is combined with the adaptive suspension and factors in additional information from the navigation system, driving style analysis, and camera-based anticipation data to maximize both dynamic prowess and ride comfort.

Since the adaptive air suspension with self-levelling function maintains the full range of spring travel when the vehicle is carrying a load, the addition of active roll stabilization makes it possible to activate a softer air spring setting and increase ride comfort. The anti-roll bars between the wheels are disconnected, reducing the amount of body roll caused by surface imperfections on one side of the vehicle. This has the effect of decreasing the lateral acceleration forces and the obtrusive “head toss” they cause. The active anti-roll bars counter centrifugal force in corners, thereby reducing body roll significantly and further enhancing driving comfort.
IAS can be ordered on its own on a 40i for $1,150, which implies that BMW is charging almost twice that $2,150 for Active Comfort Drive (DHP is $3,300). So, I think it must do something significant given that price.

If Active Comfort Drive does all that then it seems like a useful feature to have.

Hmm, I noticed that there is no Drive Recorder mentioned. Wondering if that's in a package or no longer offered.

Just texted my CA this order. I'm not super thrilled about the blue ridge mountain color but my wife really wanted it. Since this won't be my daily driver, I didn't have too many objections.
