it takes about 2-3 weeks from start of production to get to my dealer based on prior orders produced in SC.
my CA did mention there might be an EPA/CARB hold for the first cars to arrive, but as soon as that lifts, they would be able to release the car

i did get a VIR confirming my order is in the order bank, with the right specs with my name on it listing it as priority 1- sold. Status is currently 047- Spec. Released -no quota. No allocations yet but thats to be expected this early.

VIR is "Vehicle Inquiry Report", which is essentially a report showing the specs of your order in the order bank. It's always good practice to request a VIR report after you've placed your order to make sure everything looks accurate exactly as how you've placed it (sales people aren't immune to making mistakes when inputting an order).

No, I think I was their first order since they did not even have the order guides until I shared them from this site.

I would venture to guess October unless there is a snag in production. Might take me a little longer with full leather but otherwise my order is pretty straight forward.

I noticed you have the Fineline Stripe Brown Gloss Wood trim in your order which I'm interested in. Were you able to find a picture of it?

So i emailed my dealership salesman (or whatever theyre called, client concierge auto therapist) and he said they already received 1 allocation, and since we are 3rd in line, we are now 2nd. Does that make any sense at this point in time?

That doesn't sound right. I wouldn't expect allocations to start dropping until next month earliest for August start of production.

My wife prefers bolder colors but red cars in particular, I am slowly coming around to the idea (really cost) of indv ruby red which looks amazing on every implementation.

They could just limit it to the 40i Msport line then which really isn't any less M-like than M60i anyway. It's mostly aesthetic outside of the real M cars.

Looks like Tanzanite is still available. We have a Tanzanite MSport now and looks great with the shadow line trim.

no, are you sure he didnt put you into the queue for a 2022?

production for the 2023s doesnt start till August. i wouldnt expect the allocations to drop till july, they are just releasing the july prod allocations now for 2022...

My m8gc is frozen metallic grey and has stealth on it, I have a good installer nearby. A friend got a frozen green m5cs, got it ceramic coated, and the guy fucked it up and you see streaks. He is getting stealth wrap to cover it up.

Thanks...it looks nice. I think it will go with either the coffee or cognac interior. I haven't decided yet. I wanted to get the extended Merino... however Cognac doesn't come in leather. I heard that Sensafin is nice and more durable than leather. And I do have a big dog.

Where did you hear this? My dealership has no info on it - I have my x5 lease coming up in October and I use the driving assistance pretty frequently. Being that I'll probably need to buy the X7 if the numbers for leasing still dont make sense, I definitely want to wait to get the upgraded package and will probably need to buy my x5 and wait until it comes out...

From my understanding they're not doing individual colors at this time so frozen black is not available

Frozen paint is easy to take care of. SwissVax makes an Opaque wax that you put on. Besides the special wax, it’s the same as regular paint except you have to wax by hand. Had it on a Frozen Silver E92. Actually didn’t show scratches/swirls as bad as regular paint does.

Our builds are similar. To me, three standard colors looked best with black wheels.
1. Frozen Pure Grey
2. Ametrin
3. Brooklyn Grey
